Sending properties via text message on your smart phone has never been easier! Utilize the “ShareThis” application, located on the right hand side bar of EVERY property page.

ShareThis is a great tool that allows users to publish information to popular sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and more.

One of the coolest features available is the ability to send a property via text. Here’s how:

Step 1:
Click the ShareThis link and choose “Text”.

Step 2:
Enter the recipient’s phone number with the area code, for example, 4012746740. Next, enter your email address in the “From” field. Finally, add your message.

Step 3:
The recipient will receive a text message with the hyperlink included. The link will launch the phone’s web browser and the property will be displayed.

Please note: Standard text messaging fees apply.

With over 250 million Americans using mobile devices and 56% of them utilizing SMS (text messaging), we think it’s a great addition to our website. What are you waiting for? Give it a try!

PROVIDENCE LOFT LIVING: 5 Great Places to Rent a Loft in Greater Providence

Do you crave open space, exposed brick, high ceilings and over sized windows for lots of light?

Providence, known during the industrial era for its textile and jewelry industry, has a myriad of restored mills and historic buildings where you can live like you’re in SOHO, but pay Providence prices! Here are my top five picks for loft living:

1. WESTMINSTER LOFTS: Downcity, spread out across four historically significant signature buildings, Westminster lofts delivers perhaps the most urbane Providence loft living experience. Created by a highly celebrated local Providence developer, these interior spaces are unique and chic with impressive city views and a stunning roof deck. These are a ‘must see.’

2. THE PROMENADE: An award-winning mill restoration, the Promenade not only has exquisite loft apartments, it also has literally every amenity you can think of including a spacious and stylish gym with exposed brick and flat panel TV’s, an indoor swimming pool with RI’s only retractable roof, a public garden for planting vegetables, a Zen garden, spa services, pet services, grocery delivery and more.

3. PEARL ST. LOFTS: The most economical of Providence lofts, Pearl St. lofts are highly innovative with their space configurations, while maintaining all the usual ‘must-haves’ of loft living. Centrally located on the West Side of the city.

4. 755 WESTMINSTER LOFTS: Also on the West side, this is a boutique loft complex in a former furniture store with an Art Deco façade of brick and colored glass. The lofts are surprisingly spacious inside with modern kitchens. Some have skylights and uber-high ceilings, while others have small terraces and colored glass over the windows creating interesting light patterns. Since there are not that many units, these can be hard to come by, but well worth the wait.

5. RIVERFRONT LOFTS: Just a few minutes over the line from Providence into Pawtucket, the Riverfront Lofts, as the name suggests, are situated on the Blackstone River. Riverfront is really a community with 60 live/work spaces, heavily populated by people working in the arts. Spaces tend to be pretty dramatic. These are mostly condos, individually owned, with a very limited supply available for rent. Still, they are worth a try as a stunning option for someone looking to rent an elegant loft space.

For pricing and more information on any of these lofts or to schedule a visit these urban-chic interior spaces, contact me at rlister@residentialproperties.com or 401-553-6311.
